MACE has a small and dedicated professional team that is here to help with any questions you may have about all aspects of the moving image in the Midlands.

 

Director: James PattersonJames Patterson
James is the director of MACE and one of the UK's most experienced moving image archivists. Before coming to MACE in 2000, James worked for 21 years at the National Film and Television Archive at the British Film Institute, where he was responsible for the archive's non fiction collections.

Head of Access and Learning: Richard ShentonRichard Shenton
After completing the MA in Film Archiving at the University of East Anglia in 1997, Richard worked in a variety of film and television environments before joining MACE in 2005. Richard is primarily responsible for all access to the collections and is particularly interested in developing their use in education.

Cataloguer, Researcher, Programmer: Phil LeachPhilip Leach
Phil joined MACE from the Nottingham libraries of Carlton Television in 2005 to work on a project to catalogue the regional programmes deposited with MACE by ITV. Phil's main focus at the moment is developing MACE's screening programmes and cataloguing the collection.

Business & Commercial Development Manager: Emma Morley
Emma has over twelve years' experience of working within television and theatre, starting her career at Carlton TV working on Peak Practice before moving to Archive Sales.  From 2004 she was the administrator at New Perspectives Theatre Company and joined MACE in October 2009.
