The University of Leicester is a key supporter of MACE providing us with our accommodation at 1 Salisbury Road and, from 2008, with storage for the collections at Putney Road in Leicester.

Although MACE is an independent company and registered charity we clearly have a close relationship with the University where we are associated with the School of Historical Studies and in particular with the Centre for Urban History, with whom we share accommodation. We are also closely associated with EMOHA, The East Midlands Oral History Archive, also based at 1 Salisbury Road. Together we are working towards the development of a full audio visual archive centre for the Midlands.

MACE contributes to teaching at the University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is a research resource for the entire University.

The development of our relationship with the University is overseen by a high level academic advisory board.
