Festival Screenings
01/05/2009
We're currently putting the final touches to a couple of special programmes that are being curated for two events in the West Midlands. At the Fleece Inn at Bretforton in Worcestershire, as part of the annual asparagus festival, they'll be a new compilation of local material including plenty of agricultural footage from the Vale of Evesham, and of course archive material of asparagus picking! This screening is a continuation of our successful partnership with Worcestershire Archives which began last year with our 'Worcestershire on Film' series and takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 25 May 2009.
We're also putting together a programme of Shrewsbury material for a screening during the Belle Vue Community Arts Festival. This festival, which is part of the Shrewsbury Summer Season, brings a huge range of cultural events to the city: from films to theatre to workshops. Our screening takes place at Wakeman School on the evening of Thursday 18 June. More information about the festival can be found here.
As a teaser here's a clip from one of our favourite Shrewsbury films.
