Commercial sales

The Media Archive for Central England (MACE) is very keen to see its collections used in commercial productions; to facilitate effective access to collections by the public and to develop an income, which is used to support the work of the organisation.

Consequently, your interest in our collections is of the utmost importance to us and we have tried to make the process of using material from MACE's collections in commercial productions as simple and as easy as possible.

In the first instance please consult our online database to identify material that you may be interested in viewing.  Searches can be conducted using the simple search tool, which appears at the top of every page on the site, or the advanced search for more specific enquiries.

Although we are constantly increasing the number of entries on our database it does not contain references to all the titles that are held at MACE.  If you cannot find what you are looking for then please contact Richard Shenton who will be able to guide you through the uncatalogued sections of the collections.

Richard will also be able to help if you would like to make an appointment to view titles or if you would prefer to be sent a viewing copy of titles you are interested in using.

For a variety of reasons MACE does not own any of the rights to material contained in its collections. In view of this Richard will normally contact the primary rights holder on your behalf to obtain their permission for the material to be used in your production.  Even so, you will be responsbile for clearing any relevant third party rights.

MACE's commercial rate card and terms and conditions can be downloaded from this page. If you have any queries concerning these please contact Richard.

(If you are a researcher looking for audio visual material on behalf of a museum or library then please contact Richard Shenton who will be able explain the process involved in accessing the material and using it in museums and libraries.)
